Here is a step by step guide on how to do so.<\/p>\n<h4>Enabling POP at GMail<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Log on into your GMail account. Click on Mail Settings. Then click on the &#8220;Forwarding and POP&#8221; tab. Tick at the appropriate box to enable POP for all email. Save the changes. Click on the configuration guide <a href=\"http:\/\/mail.google.com\/support\/bin\/answer.py?ctx=%67mail&amp;hl=en&amp;answer=12103\">link<\/a> at the bottom of the page for more information. Log out once you&#8217;re done.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; max-width: 100%; height: auto;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/image\/GMail\/gmail-settings.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Configuring POP Mail on Your PDA<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>This guide assumes that your PDA is already correctly configured for GPRS connectivity. If not, please visit this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/gprs.asp\">link<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Create a new account on your e-mail program i.e. Versamail.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 426px; height: 423px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/Versamail_files\/image004.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Mail Service: Other; Protocol:POP<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 432px; height: 442px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/Versamail_files\/image006.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Enter your username &amp; password.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 426px; height: 417px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/Versamail_files\/image008.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Email address: user@gmail.com, i.e. plumpx@gmail.com<br \/>\nIncoming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com<br \/>\nOutgoing Mail Server: If using Celcom or Maxis, please refer to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/detailnews.asp?id=117\">http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/detailnews.asp?id=117<br \/>\n<\/a>. If using Digi, please enter; smtp.gmail.com (will only work if your e-mail program supports secure smtp (SSL)).<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 410px; height: 404px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/Versamail_files\/image010.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Under Incoming Mail Options, set the port number to 995.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 399px; height: 392px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/Versamail_files\/image012.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>For Outgoing Mail Options, you can leave it blank if you want to.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 419px; height: 418px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.palmx.org\/Versamail_files\/image014.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>For Advanced Outgoing Options, set the port number to 587 (or whatever other number given to you by GMail) if you are using smtp.gmail.com. Not port 25. The usual default email program on my Treo600 and Clie NX80V\/G do not have this option.
