The moderators had configured many PDAs for GPRS use, unfortunately we failed with one member who bought a Motorola E398. That we shall rectify today with this short How-To. TQ to Dr Sufian Idris from UKM Bangi for the guide and the screenshots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

  • Initially set the phone to be discoverable, then use the PDA to pair with it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nThen set the PDA to be discoverable and pair the phone with it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nThis is the result of a successful pairing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nB. Connection<\/span>
\nUnder System, click on Prefs, then Connection. Click on New.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nConfigure it as the image on the left;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nThen click on details and ensure that it is as the image on the left;This connection can be used for Digi, Maxis & Celcom GPRS.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nC. Network<\/span>
\nUnder System, click on Prefs, then Network. Create a new network as the image on the left if you are a Celcom user.<\/p>\n
    \n
  • For Digi, the username is “digi”, password is “digi”.<\/li>\n
  • For Maxis, the username is “maxis”, password is “wap”.<\/li>\n
  • For Celcom, the username is supposed to be left blank but it wont work with PalmOS. So we put in the letter “g”. Leave the password blank. Upon logging in, it will ask for the password. When this happens, just click on “OK”.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nThen click on details. Set it up accordingly.<\/p>\n

  • For Digi, the DNS numbers are 203.92.128.131 & 203.92.128<\/li>\n
  • For Maxis, the DNS numbers are 202.75.129.101 & 202.75.129.102<\/li>\n
  • For Celcom, the DNS numbers are as illustrated on the left.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Once done, click on Script.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"\"<\/td>\nConfigure it as illustrated on the left. For the third line, change it according to which telco that you are subscribed to;<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
